SAT

In July, 2016, Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announced that they will suspend the PARCC test for the states high schools. In its replacement, ISBE signed a contract with College Board to administer the SAT to all Illinois juniors, and April has been chosen as the test month for this test.

The SAT test is comparable to the ACT. Students will be testing in English, science, mathematics, reading and writing. Both the SAT and the ACT are accepted by colleges throughout the United States. FCHS students can register for either test and take it on their respective national test dates as well.

FCHS is a national testing center for the ACT, and FCHS has asked to be approved as a national testing center for the SAT. This will benefit FCHS students and eliminate the need for them to travel out of town for testing.
