Anne Kelly and Grady Simpson recently attended Senator Bryant's 2024 Fall Youth Advisory Council, where they had a hands-on opportunity to dive into government. Divided into groups, they pitched innovative legislation ideas and presented them to the entire assembly, voting on which proposals to advance. The winning idea will be the focus of a mock committee hearing this spring in Springfield, where students will take on various roles in the legislative process, from lawmakers to lobbyists. We can't wait to see these future leaders in action!
